Nell'S Banana Nut Cake

  1. Toast pecans in 350u0b0 oven about 5 minutes.
  2. Beat eggs until light.
  3. Slowly add sugar.
  4. Beat in margarine and vanilla.
  5. Blend together dry ingredients and add alternately with bananas, beating after each addition.
  6. Mix in 3/4 cup pecans that have been chopped.
  7. Retain about 1/4 cup larger pieces for top of cake. Grease and flour 2 (9-inch) cake pans.
  8. Pour mixture into pans and bake for 25 to 30 minutes at 350u0b0.
  9. Frost layers with vanilla, powdered sugar frosting.
  10. Arrange 1/4 cup pecans on top of cake.
