Cake Brownies(Low-Fat)
- 1/4 c. unsalted margarine
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 egg white
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/3 c. skim milk
- 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/3 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
- 1 tsp. powdered sugar
- Spray a 9 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan with nonstick coating.
- Set aside.
- In a medium saucepan melt the margarine.
- Remove from the heat.
- Stir in the sugar and cocoa until combined.
- Add egg white and vanilla to saucepan.
- Using a wooden spoon lightly beat just until combined.
- Add flour, milk, baking powder and baking soda.
- Beat with the spoon until combined.
- Stir in walnuts or pecans.
- Spread the batter into the prepared baking pan.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 16 to 18 minutes.
- After cooled, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
- Drizzle with chocolate icing.
- Cut into bars.
