Plaza Ii Steak Soup Recipe
- 1 1/2 lbs. grnd sirloin steak
- 3 sticks unsalted butter
- 1 1/2 to 2 c. flour
- 4 cans beef consomme or possibly bouillon
- 3 cans water (plus juice from canned tomatoes)
- 1 1/2 teaspoon Kitchen Bouquet
- 1 c. minced onion
- 1 c. minced celery
- 1 c. minced carrots
- Canned green beans, tomatoes, corn, new potatoes, and whatever
- Garlic, salt, and pepper to taste
- Heat butter in Dutch oven on stove.
- Add in liquid; stir till thickened.
- Add in fresh veggies and simmer till tender.
- Add in canned veggies.
- The longer it sits, the better the flavors blend.
