Peanut Butter Cookies No. 2
- 1/2 c. granulated sugar
- 1/2 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
- 1/2 c. (1 stick) margarine
- 1/2 c. chunky peanut butter
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 c. plain flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 3/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- additional flour or granulated sugar
- In large bowl, combine sugars, margarine, peanut butter, egg and vanilla;
- mix
- well.
- In medium bowl, mix flour, baking powder,
- soda and salt; stir into peanut butter mixture, mixing until blended.
- Cover dough; refrigerate 3 hours.
- Preheat oven to 375u0b0.
- Lightly
- grease
- several
- large baking sheets.
- With hands, roll
- leveltablespoons
- of
- dough in 1 1/4 inch balls. Place
- balls
- 3
- inches
- apart
- on prepared baking sheets.tip tines

- into
- flour or sugar; flatten dough crisscross style.
- Bake 10 to 12 minutes, or until slightly brown.
- Yield: 3 dozen cookies.
