Chex And Chocolate Party Mix

• 9 c. Chex cereal (any combo)
• 2 c. shredded coconut
• 1 c. peanuts
• 1 c. packed brown sugar
• 1/2 c. butter or margarine
• 1/2 c. corn syrup
• 1 tsp. vanilla
• 1/2 tsp. vanilla
• 1/2 tsp. baking soda
• 2 c. chocolate chips
• 1 1/2 c. raisins

1. Preheat oven to 250u0b0.
2. Combine cereal, coconut and peanuts in large shallow pan.
3. In 2-quart saucepan, combine brown sugar, butter and corn syrup to boiling.
4. Without stirring, boil 5 minutes.
5. Stir in vanilla and baking soda.
6. Pour over cereal mixture; stir until pieces are evenly coated.
7. Bake 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
8. Cool completely, stirring frequently to break mix apart.
9. Add chocolate chips and raisins.
10. Store in airtight container.
11. Makes 16 cups.
