Butter Nut Sugar Cookies Recipe

  1. Cream the brown sugar, cheese and softened butter at medium speed with an electric mixer till light and fluffy.
  2. Add in lowfat milk, flavorings and egg and beat well.
  3. Combine flour, baking pwdr, and salt and add in to mix, beating well.
  4. Divide dough into 4 equal portions.
  5. Working with one portion at a time, roll to 1/8-inch thickness on a well-floured surface; cover and chill remaining dough.
  6. Cut with 2-inch cookie cutter and place 1 inch apart on cookie sheets.
  7. Bake at 350F for 10 min.
  8. Cold on wire racks.
  9. Repeat with remaining dough.
  10. Combine powdered sugar, water, and food coloring.
  11. Spoon icing into a decorating bag fitted with a small, round tip and pipe onto cookies.
  12. Yield: 8 dozen.
