Homemade Mayonnaise

  1. Separate the egg yolk from the egg white, and toss the egg white.
  2. Place the egg yolk in a mixing bowl and whisk it up.
  3. Gradually add olive oil in a steady stream to the egg yolk, whisking vigorously.
  4. Whisk in the lemon juice, salt and pepper.
