Bread Dumpling (Semmelknodel) Recipe

  1. Saute/fry diced rolls, Onions and Parsley in butter till bread is crisply toasted.
  2. Beat egg, water and salt till frothy , Blend gradually the flour.
  3. Add in the saute/fry bread.
  4. Mix thoroughly.
  5. Refrigerate2 hrs to stiffen.
  6. With floured hands, shape mix to the size of oranges.
  7. Lower carefully into a big kettle of boiling salted water.
  8. Cover and cook gently for 10 min, Don't open lid and peek.
  9. Drain and serve with Beef stew .
