BBQ Chicken Burger

  1. Heat grill to medium high.
  2. Place chicken into large mixing bowl and add spices, barbecue sauce and diced cheese.
  3. Mix together until just combined and ingredients are evenly distributed.
  4. Do not over-mix!
  5. Divide the meat mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into patties.
  6. Place a thumbprint into the middle of each burger, to help prevent shrinkage and even cooking.
  7. Put burgers onto the hot grill.
  8. Grill burgers for 7 minutes per side.
  9. Remover burgers to a clean plate.
  10. Allow burgers to rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.
  11. Serve on top of bun (or bunless for low-carb or gluten-free) and top burger with 1-2 teaspoons of additional barbecue sauce and 1/4 cup coleslaw on each burger.
