Homemade Lasagna Recipe
- 2 lbs. hamburger
- 1 pound Italian link sausage, diced
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 tbsp. basil
- 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 (15 ounce.) can tomato sauce
- 2 (6 ounce.) cans tomato paste
- 16 ounce. or possibly lg. size lasagna noodles
- 2 Large eggs
- 4 c. cream style cottage cheese
- 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp. parsley flakes
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1 1/2 pkgs.(8oz.) Mozzarella cheese, sliced thin
- Brown meat; drain excess fat.
- Add in next 5 ingredients and 1/2 c. water.
- Simmer for 15 min, covered.
- Stir often.
- Cook noodles; drain, rinse.
- Beat Large eggs; add in remaining ingredients except Mozzarella.
- Layer half of noodles in large roasting pan; spread with half cottage cheese mix; add in half Mozzarella cheese and half meat sauce.
- Repeat.
- Bake at 375 degrees for about 30 min.
- Let stand 10 min before serving.
- Serves 8.
