Asian Chicken Wings Recipe
- 4 c. water
- 12 ounce soy sauce
- 1/2 c. vinegar
- 10 lb chicken wings
- 42 ounce barbecue sauce
- 1/3 c. chili paste with garlic
- 1/2 c. honey
- 1/4 tsp grnd ginger
- 1/4 tsp Oriental 5-spice pwdr
- 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1 Tbsp. water
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp freshly-grnd black pepper
- 1 bn green onions minced
- Combine water, soy sauce and vinegar; stir in chicken wings.
- Marinate chicken wings at least 1 hour.
- Combine barbecue sauce, chili paste, honey, ginger and five-spice pwdr; stir to blend.
- Brown wings in oil and water; sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Place wings in slow cooker.
- Pour barbecue sauce on top and cook on HIGH for 4 to 6 hrs.
- Garnish with green onions.
- This recipe yields about 50 servings.
