Creole Chicken & Sausage Gumbo

  1. In a large pot, cook and stir onion, peppers and garlic in butter over low heat until onions are tender (about 5 minutes).
  2. Add remaining ingredients.
  3. Heat to boiling, reduce heat.
  4. Simmer 45 minutes, stirring occasionally ( for more flavor or spice, add more pepper sauce or chili powder).
  5. Serve over bed of rice with lemon as garnish.
