Sensational Buckwheat-Wheat Bake
- 3 cups buckwheat groats cooked
- 1/2 cup cracked wheat (bulgur) whole brown
- 1/2 cup red onion diced
- 13 cup celery diced
- 1/4 cup sweet red bell peppers diced
- 1/4 cup safflower oil
- 1 cup mushrooms sliced
- 1 cup tomatoes diced
- 13 cup almonds slivered
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon poultry seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon rosemary leaves dried
- Combine the buckwheat groats and cracked wheat in a bowl and set aside.
- Saute the onion, celery and green pepper in the oil until light brown, seasoning with the onion and garlic powder.
- Add the mushrooms and brown.
- Stir in the tomatoes and stir for 2 minutes.
- Add the buckwheat mixture and mix well.
- Add the remaining ingredients and mix well.
- Put into a lightly oiled baking dish and bake for 30 minutes in a preheated 350F (180C).
