Easy Chili And Old-Fashioned Corn Bread(Serves 4)

  1. Heat oven to 400u0b0.
  2. Lightly coat an 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking pan with cooking spray; set aside.
  3. In medium bowl, combine cornmeal, flour, baking powder, sugar and salt; set aside.
  4. Pour margarine into small bowl; whisk together with milk and egg.
  5. Add to cornmeal mixture; stir just until dry ingredients are moistened.
  6. Pour batter into pan; bake 20 minutes or until bread is golden and top springs back when touched.
  7. Cut into 8 squares.
  8. Prepare chili according to package directions.
  9. Remove to serving plates and serve with corn bread.
