Crazy Cha Cha ' s Chipotle Chili
- 2 lb ground chicken or turkey
- 1 can fire roasted diced tomatoes
- 3 each Chopped chipotle Chilies in adobo plus two table spoon s adobo sauce
- 2 can chili beans
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 tbsp Garlic choppef
- 12 oz Chicken broth or beer
- 1/4 cup masa harina
- 2 tbsp olive oil, extra virgin
- 2 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tbsp ground cumin
- 1 Salt and pepper to taste
- Heat large pot and place olive oil in pot.
- Once heated add onion and garlic.
- Saute until translucent and add ground chicken, brown.
- After browning meat, pour in 4 oz of beer or broth and scrape bits from the pan.
- Cook for about five minutes then add in all other ingredients except for the masa.
- Cook for an hour.
- After an hour of cooking, mix masa and remaining beer or broth together until it is a paste, add it to the chili and stir.Cook for at least another 1/2 hour.
- Serve with corn bread, cheese and sour cream.
- This recipe can be easily adapted for the crock pot.
- Simple follow step 1.
- Add cooked meat into crock pot with the rest of the ingredients except for the masa.
- Cook on high for 4 hours.
- At hour three add masa mixture in above step and cook another hour.
