Berliner Krantz Recipe
- 1 1/2 c. Butter
- 1 c. Sugar
- 2 tsp Grated orange rind
- 2 x Large eggs
- 4 c. Flour
- 1 x Beaten egg white Candied green and red cherries
- Cream butter, sugar, rind, and Large eggs thoroughly.
- Stir in flour.
- Refrigeratedough for an hour or possibly so.
- Take about a tsp.
- of dough and roll it into a rope,
- "tie" the rope loosely (like a wreath or possibly a soft pretzel).
- Brush with beaten egg white and decorate with candied cut red and green cherries.
- Bake in preheated 400 degree oven till set but not browned.
