Halloween Kabocha Cake Made in a Rice Cooker from Pancake Mix

  1. Cut the kabocha squash into small pieces.
  2. Put them in a heatproof bowl, wrap and microwave for 8 minutes.
  3. Mash when softened.
  4. Add margarine to the kabocha, wrap and microwave for another minute.
  5. Add granulated sugar, cinnamon, egg and pancake mix and mix well.
  6. Grease a rice cooker bowl with margarine and pour in the mixture from step 3.
  7. Switch on the normal rice setting!
  8. If it doesn't cook the first time, cook it again.
  9. When it's done, let it cool a little, invert and transfer to a plate.
  10. Put the paper stencil on the top and sprinkle on some icing sugar with a tea strainer.
  11. Remove the paper stencil very carefully.
