Hummus of Doom
- 2 large garlic cloves
- 1 (15 ounce) can garbanzo beans
- 14 cup lemon juice
- 14 cup whole white sesame seeds
- 34 teaspoon salt
- 14 cup olive oil
- black pepper (a small amount)
- 12 teaspoon paprika (optional)
- Preheat oven to 350F Spread sesame seeds evenly on baking sheet and toast for 4-5 minutes.
- They should have a deep brown hue.
- Be careful not to burn them.
- Mix sesame seeds and garlic in blender (these two need the most blending).
- Add rest of ingredients and mix until the texture is to your liking.
- Serve with pita bread, cherry tomatoes, sliced cucumber and olives.
- To make a great bagel spread use a little less oil and blend so the hummus has a thick as opposed to liquidy texture.
