Baked Beans, Truly Homemade, Not from a Can
- 1 cup White Navy Beans
- 3 cups Water (to Soak Beans In)
- 1 whole Onion, Chopped
- 1/2 pounds Salt Pork Chopped
- 1/2 cups Brown Sugar
- 3 Tablespoons Dijon Mustard
- 3 Tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
- 2 whole Cloves Garlic, Minced
- 13 cups Ketchup
- Soak navy beans in water overnight.
- This will soften the beans.
- In the morning before work, chop up your onion and salt pork.
- Drain the beans and put in the slow cooker with the onion and pork.
- Add remaining ingredients, give a good stir and then set your slow cooker to low heat.
- Let simmer all day long and then come home to a great smelling house and dish up!
