Baked Beans, Truly Homemade, Not from a Can

  1. Soak navy beans in water overnight.
  2. This will soften the beans.
  3. In the morning before work, chop up your onion and salt pork.
  4. Drain the beans and put in the slow cooker with the onion and pork.
  5. Add remaining ingredients, give a good stir and then set your slow cooker to low heat.
  6. Let simmer all day long and then come home to a great smelling house and dish up!
