Smokin' Turkey Chili
- 4 slices reduced-sodium bacon, chopped Rite Aid 2 For $7.00 thru 02/06
- 1 onion, chopped King Sooper's 1 lb For $0.99 thru 02/09
- 1 each red and green pepper, coarsely chopped
- 2 Tbsp. chili powder
- 2 cans (19 fl oz/540 mL each) no-salt-added white kidney beans, rinsed
- 1 can (28 fl oz/796 mL) no-salt-added diced tomatoes, undrained
- 2 cups chopped roasted turkey
- 1/2 cup Bull's-Eye Bold Original Barbecue Sauce
- 1/2 cup Cheez Whiz Jalapeno Tex Mex Cheese Spread
- Cook bacon in large saucepan on medium-high heat 4 min., stirring frequently.
- Remove bacon from pan with slotted spoon, reserving 1 Tbsp.
- drippings in pan.
- Add onions, peppers and chili powder to reserved drippings; stir.
- Cook 10 min., stirring frequently.
- Add bacon, beans, tomatoes, turkey and barbecue sauce; stir.
- Bring to boil; cover.
- Simmer on medium-low heat 20 min., stirring occasionally.
- Melt Cheez Whiz; spoon over filled bowls of chili.
