Mary's Hot Wings Recipe
- 18 chicken wings
- Seasoning salt
- Garlic pwdr
- 1 c. Crisco oil
- Crushed red pepper
- Grnd cayenne pepper
- 1 med. onion, cut up
- 2 lg. tomatoes, cut in quarters
- 1 bunch scallions, cut in sm. pcs
- Flour
- Wash chicken wings; don't pat dry.
- Season with season salt, garlic pwdr and grnd cayenne pepper, then roll in flour.
- Heat oil in heavy pot.
- Brown chicken on both sides, half cooking them till all have been done.
- Pour off grease.
- Put wings back in pot and add in 5 c. water.
- Bring to a boil; add in onions, tomatoes, scallions, and red pepper.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
- Serve over warm rice.
