Angel Food Deluxe Cake

  1. Heat oven to 375u0b0.
  2. Use a 10 x 4-inch ungreased tube pan.
  3. Stir flour and first amount of sugar (confectioners) together to blend. Measure egg whites, cream of tartar and salt into large mixing bowl.
  4. Beat until foamy.
  5. Gradually add second amount of sugar (granulated).
  6. Continue beating until meringue holds stiff peaks. Fold in gently only until the flour and sugar mixture disappears. Push batter into tube pan and gently cut through batter.
  7. Bake 30 to 35 minutes.
  8. Invert on a funnel.
  9. Let hang until cold.
