Old Fashioned Macaroni And Cheese Casserole

  1. Grease a 1 1/2-quart casserole well.
  2. Cook macaroni in boiling, salted water for about 12 minutes; drain.
  3. Lay one slice of yellow cheese in bottom of casserole.
  4. Then layer macaroni, followed by a layer of Cheddar cheese and a few dots of oleo.
  5. Add a very small amount of white pepper.
  6. Repeat the layers until 1/4-inch from top.
  7. Add warm milk to cover mixture.
  8. Sprinkle top with bread crumbs and a few dots of oleo and place 1 slice of yellow cheese on top.
  9. Bake in a 350u0b0 oven for at least 1 hour. Watch carefully that it doesn't boil over or cook too fast.
