Microwave Sweet And Sour Meatballs Recipe
- 1 pound grnd chuck
- 1 egg
- 1/4 c. finely minced onion
- 3 tbsp. water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 c. finely minced onion
- 1 tbsp. butter
- 1 c. ketchup
- 2 tbsp. brown sugar
- 2 tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 tbsp. soy sauce
- Combine meat, egg, 1/4 c. onion, salt and pepper in bowl.
- Mix well.
- Shape mix into 24 meatballs.
- Place in 12x8-inch glass baking dish.
- Microwave at HIGH 2 min.
- Turn meatballs over and rearrange.
- Microwave at HIGH 2 min, or possibly till hard.
- Pour off excess fat.
- Cover with waxed paper and let set.
- Combine 1/4 c. onion and butter in 1 1/2-qt glass casserole.
- Microwave at HIGH 3 min, or possibly till onion is tender.
- Stir in remaining ingredients.
- Microwave at HIGH 3 min, or possibly till warm.
- Pour sauce over meatballs.
- Serve with warm rice.
- Serves 4.
- An alternative to a main dish meal is to serve these meatballs as an appetizer.
