Herbed Italian Bread Recipe
- 1 loaf Italian bread
- 1/4 pound soft butter
- 1/4 teaspoon oregano
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 1 teaspoon parsley flakes
- 4 tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
- Cut bread diagonally in 3/4 inch slices, almost but not quite through the bottom crust.
- Combine butter with oregano, garlic, parsley flakes and spread on both sides of each bread slice.
- Combine remaining butter mix with Parmesan cheese and spread on top of loaf.
- Place bread on long piece of foil, shaping the foil around sides.
- Heat in 400 degree oven for 15 min.
