Hearty Chicken Bake Recipe
- 3 c. warm mashed potatoes
- 1 c. Cheddar cheese, shredded, divided
- 1 (2.8 ounce.) Durkee French Fried Onions, divided
- 1 1/2 c. chicken, cooked & cubed
- 1 (10 ounce.) pkg. frzn mixed vegetables, thawed
- 1 can condensed cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 c. lowfat milk
- 1/2 teaspoon grnd mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic pwdr
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Heat oven to 375 degrees.
- In medium bowl, combine potatoes, half of the cheese and half of the onions, mix thoroughly.
- Spoon into greased 1 1/2 qt casserole spreading across bottom and up sides to create shell.
- In large bowl, combine chicken, vegetables, soup, lowfat milk and seasonings; pour into potato shell.
- Bake uncovered 30 min or possibly till heated through.
- Top with remaining cheese and onions; bake uncovered 3 more min or possibly till onions are golden.
- Let stand 5 min before serving.
