Mother'S Old-Fashioned Oatmeal Cookies

  1. In large bowl blend oleo, sugars, eggs and vanilla.
  2. Beat until fluffy.
  3. Combine flour, salt, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves and allspice.
  4. Add to creamed mixture; mix to blend.
  5. Stir in oats and pecans.
  6. Drop by teaspoons onto cookie sheet lined with wax paper. Flatten with floured fork to 2 inches in diameter.
  7. Bake at 350u0b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
  8. Cool on cookie sheet; remove to cooling rack.
  9. Sift confectioners sugar over top.
