Sangria Fruity Cake
- 1 pkg. (2-layer size) yellow cake mix
- 1 pkg. (3.4 oz.) JELL-O Lemon Flavor Instant Pudding
- 1/2 cup red wine
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup oil
- 4 eggs
- 2 tsp. orange extract
- 1 small red apple, coarsely chopped Safeway 1 lb For $0.99 thru 02/09
- 20 maraschino cherries, drained, chopped
- 1-1/2 cups thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping
- Heat oven to 350F.
- Beat first 7 ingredients in large bowl with mixer until blended.
- Stir in chopped apples and cherries.
- Pour into greased and floured 12-cup fluted tube pan or 10-inch tube pan.
- Bake 55 min.
- to 1 hour or until toothpick inserted near center comes out clean.
- Cool cake in pan 10 min.
- Loosen cake from sides of pan with knife.
- Invert onto wire rack; gently remove pan.
- Cool cake completely.
- Serve with COOL WHIP.
