AMIEs CHOCO PISTACCHI BUTTER cake
- 3 1/4 cup cake flour
- 4 1/2 tsps. baking powder
- 1 1/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup butter
- 4 eggs, separated
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 tsp cream of tartar
- 1 1/2 tsps. vanilla
- 1 cup pistacchi, sliced finely
- 3/4 cup carnation evaporated milk
- 200 grams chocolate with pistacchi
- Sift flour and measure.
- Sift flour and baking powder together.
- Cream the butter.
- Add sugar gradually.
- Continue beating until mixture is light and fluffy.
- Frequently scrape the sides of the bowl.
- Drop eggs yolks into the mixture one at a time beating well after each addition.
- Add the dry ingredients and carnation evaporated milk alternately, beginning and ending with flour.
- Add the chocolate with pistacchi and mix well.
- Beat egg whites and cream of tartar until very stiff.
- Fold into chocolate-butter-flour mixture.
- Pour into prepared pan.
- Bake for 30 to 40 minutes or until golden brown.
- Frost with pistacchi butter frosting.
- PISTACCHI BUTTER frosting: Cream butter and add 1 cup powdered sugar gradually.
- Add 6-8 tbsps.
- pistacchi, sliced finely and 2-4 tbsps.
- carnation evaporated milk.
- Add 2 cups powdered sugar and carnation evaporated milk until a good spreading consistency is obtained.
- Add 1 tsp.
- vanilla.
