Barbecued Mini Turkey Meatballs
- 1 lb extra lean ground turkey breast ( I use The Turkey Store brand)
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 2 tsp oil
- 1 SAUCE-
- 1/3 cup grape jelly
- 1 bottle (8 ounces) mild taco sauce
- In large bowl combine extra lean turkey breast meat, egg, bread crumbs, onion, milk, garlic and chili powder; mix well.
- Shape into about 45 1 inch balls.
- In a large skillet, heat oil over medium high heat until oil sizzles, about 1 minute.
- Add meatballs.
- Brown on all sides.
- In a small bowl, combine sauce ingredients.
- Add to meatballs.
- Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low.
- Cook, covered, 10 to 12 minutes or until no longer pink in the center.
