Sour Cream Raisin Drops
- 4 cups white raisins
- 5 13 cups flour
- 1 12 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 14 teaspoons salt
- 1 14 teaspoons ground nutmeg
- 14 teaspoon clove
- 1 14 cups butter, plus
- 1 tablespoon butter, softened
- 2 12 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 egg
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons orange zest
- Place raisins in large bowl and cover with boiling water.
- Let stand for 10 minutes.
- Drain and pat dry with paper towels.
- Set aside.
- In separate bowl, stir together flour, soda, powder, salt, nutmeg and cloves, set aside.
- In another large bowl, cream butter and sugar together.
- Stir in vanilla, egg and sour cream.
- Stir in flour mixture one cup at a time, until thoroughly mixed.
- Add raisins and orange peel.
- Drop by rounded teaspoons onto lightly greased baking sheets placing about two inches apart.
- Bake at 375 for 12-15 minutes.
