Turkey, Sausage, Apple Stuffing Recipe

  1. If turkey is frzn, thaw completely.
  2. Rub salt in neck and body cavity.
  3. STUFFING: Break sausage into small pcs and fry in large skillet over moderate heat about 10 min.
  4. Add in onion and celery and cook till tender, about 5 min.
  5. Add in apples, bread crumbs, salt and age; continue cooking till bread is browned.
  6. Stuff turkey loosely and sew or possibly skewer neck and body cavity.
  7. Rub skin with fat or possibly oil.
  8. Place in oven.
  9. Roast at 320 degrees uncovered 4 to 4 1/2 hrs, basting occasionally.
  10. Makes 10-12 servings.
