Buttermilk Cayenne Onion Rings Recipe

  1. Slice onions into thin rings.
  2. Combine egg yolk, flour, cayenne, baking soda, salt and buttermilk.
  3. Mix well.
  4. Dip rings into batter and coat thoroughly.
  5. Heat oil to 375 degrees; when warm, add in rings and fry for 4 to 5 min, till lightly browned.
  6. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
