So Easy Banana Caramel Pie

  1. Early in day: In saucepan, mix cold water with egg yolks; stir in combined sugars, flour, and salt.
  2. Gradually add boiling water, stirring briskly.
  3. Cook, stirring, 3 to 5 min., or until smooth and thick.
  4. Add butter and vanilla; cool 5 min., stirring occasionally.
  5. Pour into baked pie shell.
  6. Refrigerate until serving time.
  7. To serve: Slice bananas over filling.
  8. Whip cream; spread over all.
