So Easy Banana Caramel Pie
- 1 each pie shell (9 inch) 9 inch, baked
- 1/4 cup water cold
- 2 each egg yolks
- 1/2 cup sugar granulated
- 1/2 cup brown sugar packed
- 1/4 cup flour, all-purpose
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup water boiling
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3-4 each bananas
- 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
- Early in day: In saucepan, mix cold water with egg yolks; stir in combined sugars, flour, and salt.
- Gradually add boiling water, stirring briskly.
- Cook, stirring, 3 to 5 min., or until smooth and thick.
- Add butter and vanilla; cool 5 min., stirring occasionally.
- Pour into baked pie shell.
- Refrigerate until serving time.
- To serve: Slice bananas over filling.
- Whip cream; spread over all.
