Baked Cavatelli
- 2 1/2 c. corkscrew macaroni
- 12 oz. fresh Italian sausage links, sliced 1/2-inch thick
- 3/4 c. green onions
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 (14 oz.) jar spaghetti sauce (with mushrooms)
- 4 oz. Mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 tsp. Italian seasoning, crushed
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- Prepare pasta, drain and set aside.
- Cook sausage in a large skillet; drain fat except for 1 tablespoon.
- Cook green onions and garlic until tender.
- Use 2-quart casserole. Combine pasta, sausage, onion mixture, tomato sauce, spaghetti sauce, 1/2 Mozzarella, Italian seasoning and pepper.
- Mix thoroughly. Bake, covered, in a
- 375u0b0 oven for 25 minutes.
- Uncover and put remaining Mozzarella on top.
- Continue to bake 5 or 10 minutes more.
