Sand Bakeleser (Sand Tarts) Swedish Recipe
- 1/2 pound butter
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 3 egg yolks
- 2 tbsp. cream
- 1/4 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- Vanilla or possibly a little almond extract
- Cream butter and sugar.
- Add in yolks and mix well.
- Add in cream and flour with baking pwdr.
- Add in extract.
- press down into flouted tart forms and bake a delicate brown in oven, about 375 degrees.
- Cold before recovering from tins.
- Invert and tap tins gently.
- Special tins may be bought at any hardware store.
