Fettuccine Alfredo

  1. Put butter and cheese in a warmed pasta serving bowl.
  2. In a large pot of boiling, salted water cook fettuccine just until tender, 2 to 4 minutes, depending on freshness.
  3. Drain well in a colander and immediately add to bowl with butter and cheese.
  4. Grind fresh pepper over and toss until fettuccine is coated.
