French Dip Sandwiches

  1. Place roast in an oven roaster.
  2. Add soup, wine, dry soup mix, and sliced onion.
  3. Roast in a 300 degrees F oven for 2 hours or until roast is tender.
  4. Remove from oven.
  5. Slice roast into 1/4 or 1/2-inch slices and return to the roaster.
  6. Place back into the oven.
  7. Meanwhile, slice bread lengthwise; butter each side and toast in the broiler.
  8. While bread is warm, top the bottom slice with sliced cheese and roast.
  9. Put top slice on and cut sandwich at an angle.
  10. Spoon roast liquid into a bowl for dipping.
  11. Also works in a slow cooker.
  12. Cook 6 to 8 hours.
