Authentic Bahamian Fish Chowder Recipe
- 2 lb boneless grouper
- 1 med onion, minced
- 2 x ribs celery, choppedz
- 1 med bell pepper, chopped
- 2 med minced potatoes
- 4 c. diced tomatoes
- 5 c. fish stock
- 1/2 tsp thyme
- 1/2 tsp allspice
- 2 x Scotch Bonnet Chiles
- 1 x bay leaf
- 1 Tbsp. lime juice salt and pepper to taste
- 1 Tbsp. seasoning salt
- Dice the fish into approximately 1/2 inch pcs and place in mixing bowl Marinate with lime and spices and place in fridge for 2-3 hours Bring fish stock to a boil Add in all ingredients and simmer for 1 hr, stirring occasionally
