Holiday Peppermint Candies

  1. Beat cream cheese, butter, corn syrup and extract in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended.
  2. Gradually add 4 cups powdered sugar; mix well.
  3. Divide mixture into thirds.
  4. Knead few drops green food coloring into one third; repeat with red food coloring into second third.
  5. (The last third remains white.)
  6. Wrap each third in plastic wrap.
  7. Working with 1 mixture at a time, shape into 3/4-inch balls.
  8. Place on waxed paper-lined cookie sheet.
  9. Flatten each ball with bottom of glass lightly dipped in sifted powdered sugar.
  10. Decorate with icing.
  11. Refrigerate.
