Dr. Scola Dr. Pepper Cocktail

• 1 small orange zest, circular slice
• 3 to 4 ounces Dr. Pepper, Original Dublin
• 1 ounce Fernet-Branca
• 1 ounce rum
• 2 dashes aromatic bitters, Fee Brothers
• ice cubes
• brandied cherry, for garnish

1. Tools: muddler, barspoon
2. Glass: double Old Fashioned
3. Muddle the orange zest with the bitters in the base of a double Old Fashioned glass.
4. Add the rum, Fernet-Branca, and ice and stir until chilled.
5. Top with Dr Pepper and garnish with a brandied cherry or two, skewered on a cocktail pick.
