Plum Sauced Barbecued Ribs Recipe

  1. Cut ribs into 2-3 rib portions.
  2. Simmer in salted water 45-50 min till tender.
  3. Drain.
  4. Cook onion in butter till tender.
  5. Drain plums (reserving syrup), remove and throw away pits.
  6. Place plums and syrup in blender, cover and process till smooth.
  7. Add in puree and remaining ingredients to onions.
  8. Simmer uncovered 10-15 min.
  9. Grill over slow coals 25 min turning 3 or possibly 4 times and brushing often with sauce.
  10. Serves 8-10.
  11. Pass remaining sauce.
