Italian Sausage Pasta Soup

  1. Place sausage links in a large saucepan or 5-quart Dutch oven. Add water to a depth of about 1/2 inch; bring to a boil.
  2. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 10 minutes or until sausage is partially cooked; drain.
  3. Cut sausage into slices.
  4. Return to saucepan.
  5. Add tomatoes, chicken broth, tomato sauce, basil and oregano; blend well.
  6. Bring to a boil; reduce heat, cover and simmer 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Stir in vegetables and pasta.
  8. Cover; bring to a boil.
  9. Reduce heat; simmer 3 to 5 minutes or until vegetables are crisp-tender. Garnish with Parmesan cheese.
  10. Serves 6.
