Jim'S Barbecue Sauce
- 1 stick butter or margarine
- 2 medium onions, chopped
- 5 cloves garlic, crushed
- 8 Del Monte yellow pickled peppers
- 1/4 c. Del Monte pepper juice
- 1/4 c. soy sauce
- 1/4 c. Worcestershire
- 1/2 c. pancake syrup
- 1 (6 oz.) tomato paste
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. cinnamon
- 2 Tbsp. mustard
- 3 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
- 3 (8 oz.) cans water
- 3/4 c. plum preserves
- 1 c. vinegar
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 3/4 c. ketchup
- Saute butter, onions and garlic until onions are clear.
- Add peppers and pepper juice.
- Cook for 5 minutes.
- Add the rest of ingredients and cook on low for an hour or so.
