Orange Sticky Finger Ribs

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Trim ribs and cut them into sections of 3 or 4 bones each.
  3. Season front and back of each section with salt and Montreal steak seasoning and place in a baking dish in a single layer.
  4. Pour just enough orange soda over the ribs so that they are half-way covered.
  5. Cover dish tightly with foil and bake for about 2 hours or until the meat is tender but not quite falling off the bone.
  6. Remove the dish from the oven and remove ribs from baking juices.
  7. Place on a foil-lined baking sheet.
  8. Change the setting on your oven to broil.
  9. Prepare sauce by combining BBQ sauce, brown sugar, orange juice concentrate (not orange juice) and hot sauce in a small saucepan and heat on the stove over medium heat just until sugar is dissolved.
  10. Brush sauce over cooked ribs and place under the broiler for about 4 minutes.
  11. Remove from oven and brush with more sauce.
  12. Return to the oven and continue to cook until the sauce is bubbly and slightly charred, about 4-5 more minutes.
