Ms. Phung's Butter Pound Cake

  1. Blend cake mix and butter.
  2. Add sour cream, vanilla, then eggs.
  3. Add oil last.
  4. Blend well.
  5. Spray and flour loaf pans.
  6. Fill 1/3 to 1/2 full with cake mixture.
  7. (Be sure to spray and flour even when using aluminum pans) Bake at 350F for 30-40 minutes.
  8. Test for doneness by inserting toothpick in center.
  9. If toothpick comes out clean, the cake is done.
  10. If not, bake for a few minutes longer.
  11. Cool before cutting.
