Southwest Pepper Jack Turkey Burger
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onions
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 lb. 93%-fat-free ground turkey
- 1 can (15 oz.) black beans, rinsed
- 1/2 cup drained canned corn with red and green bell peppers
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. ground cumin
- 8 KRAFT Big Slice Pepper Jack Cheese Slices
- 8 hamburger buns
- 1 large tomato, cut into 8 slices King Sooper's 1 lb For $0.99 thru 02/09
- 1 avocado, sliced
- Cook and stir onions and garlic in large nonstick skillet on medium heat 3 to 4 min.
- or until crisp-tender.
- Add to turkey, beans, corn and seasonings in medium bowl; mix just until blended.
- Shape into 8 (1/2-inch thick) patties.
- Cook, in batches, in skillet 8 to 10 min.
- on each side or until done (165 degrees F), topping with cheese for the last 2 min.
- Serve on buns topped with tomatoes and avocados.
