Ken'S Deer Chili

  1. Cook bacon until crisp.
  2. Remove from skillet and save.
  3. Cook chopped onion and garlic until onion is transparent.
  4. Add ground beef and deer meat.
  5. Cook until it turns from pink to gray.
  6. Add seasonings.
  7. Cook for 5 minutes more.
  8. Add the tomatoes and tomato sauce.
  9. Cook covered for 45 minutes more, then add the honey, Tabasco, salt and pepper to taste.
  10. Cover and cook for at least 1 hour.
  11. Serve with corn tostados or corn tortillas, chopped onions, grated cheese and jalapeno slices.
