French Toast

  1. Mix the egg, milk, sugar, and vanilla extract together in a bowl with a whisk.
  2. Cut the bread slices into 4 pieces and soak in the egg mixture for about 5 minutes.
  3. Melt the butter in a heated frying pan.
  4. Place the bread in the pan, cover with a lid, and cook on low heat for about 2 minutes.
  5. When the bottoms have browned like in the picture, flip them and continue to cook uncovered.
  6. Enjoy.
  7. Sprinkle on some powdered sugar to taste.
