BBQ Turkey with Apple Cider
- 1 whole turkey (10 lb./4.5 kg), fresh or thawed
- 1 Granny Smith apple, cut into wedges
- 1 onion, cut into wedges
- 2 cloves garlic
- 4 sprigs fresh rosemary
- 1/2 cup Kraft Extra Virgin Olive Oil Aged Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing, divided
- 2 bottles (341 mL each) apple cider
- Heat barbecue to medium-high heat.
- Tuck wings under back of turkey.
- Stuff body cavities with next 4 ingredients.
- Place turkey, breast side up, on roasting rack in large disposable foil pan.
- Rub outside of turkey with 2 Tbsp.
- dressing.
- Place pan on grate of barbecue.
- Add apple cider to pan; close lid of barbecue.
- Grill turkey 20 min.
- Reduce barbecue temperature to medium-low.
- Tent turkey loosely with foil.
- Grill turkey additional 1-3/4 to 2 hours or until done (170 degrees F), brushing occasionally with remaining dressing and adding water to pan as necessary to prevent drippings from burning.
- Remove turkey from barbecue; let stand 20 min.
